Interview | Technicians: We Make The Difference

Saturday, 13th January 2024

Technicians: We Make the Difference  is a new campaign about raising awareness of the roles technicians do. It follows a survey conducted by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation which found only 5% of young people know a lot about jobs a technician can do.

Sarika speaks to Tyler Terry-Wallace, a Simulation Technician at Guys & St Thomas’ Hospital.  He’s one of the people in these hidden technician roles. In his job he uses a very expensive manikin (a jointed model of the human body, used in medical training) to create real-life scenarios within a mock-up ward for doctors and nurses to train with.
