Each year, Radio Harrow aims to visit up to 10,000 patients at Northwick Park Hospital. We know that hospital stays can often feel long and isolating; a friendly chat and a song request can make a world of difference. Research by the Hospital Broadcasting Association confirms this, showing that ward visiting reassures patients, restores a sense of individuality, and significantly lifts the spirits.
Our volunteers always arrive armed with the latest Radio Harrow Magazine, packed with healthy living tips, hospital service information (like hairdressing), and puzzles to pass the time.
When to find us:
We typically collect requests on the wards during the following times:
- Weekdays: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
