The awards are held every year as part of the HBA Conference, which this year were due to be in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Due to Coronavirus the gala dinner and award ceremony were cancelled.
So member radio stations could still be recognised for the work they do, the organisers decided instead to stream the awards via YouTube and Facebook on Easter Monday.

A tale of code breaking and espionage
When you hear Bletchley Park, you automatically think of Alan Turing and the task of decoding the secret Nazi messages during the Second World War.
What you may not know is that much of that work, and more, was carried out much closer to home, in Eastcote.
Brian Rose interviews local author Ronald Koorm whose book, ‘Backing Bletchley’ takes us on a fascinating trip of espionage, secrets and the true story of the Code Breakers.
During this difficult time, Radio Harrow would like to highlight all the community support services still active in and around Harrow & Brent.

A reminder, you can find the latest information regarding Coronavirus via gov.uk/coronavirus
As the current situation with COVID-19 has developed, there have been accelerated measures throughout the country in order to contain the spread of the virus. It is with in mind that the Trustees and Management Board have made the difficult decision to temporarily close all Radio Harrow facilities and activities. This means that all Radio Harrow studios, are off-limits to all members of the Charity. As a result we have suspended all live programmes on Radio Harrow. The station will however remain on air during this time.
We have not taken this decision lightly. It is based on updated advice and information from the Government, NHS and Public Health England. As the health and wellbeing of our members is our main priority, we feel this is the right decision.
As it stands, the station’s premises are closed until at least Monday 20th April 2020. We are keeping the guidelines under constant review, so this date may change.
We will find ways to get new content from our presenters on air over the coming weeks. Radio Harrow will also continue to be active on social media including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
We will continue to upload podcasts via Mixcloud, Spotify and iTunes, so check back regularly for new content. In the meantime our back catalogue is readily available for you to listen to.
We are available on air all day, every day via radioharrow.org/player
Make sure you wash your hands, and follow the latest updates from the government and the NHS.
