Radio Harrow is pleased to be participating in this event in support of these two local residents taking the initiative to raise money to support the valuable service provided by Meadow House Hospice.
It is going to be a family fun day with something for everyone. It kicks off with Captain Fantastic and a magic show by a magician who has entertained royalty. There will be live music from “Elvis” and “Ed Sheeran”, Spiderman 3-D bouncy castle, face painting, lots of games like splat the parent, food stalls – candy floss, cupcakes, snow cones, popcorn, hotdogs etc. raffles with some spectacular prizes generously donated by local businesses, glitter and henna tattoos, and much, much more. Of course Radio Harrow will be there to provide more than just music.
Lisa and Jason Cole are residents in Northolt who have been fundraising for many years and this event is again for Meadow House Hospice because his mother received palliative care from them and they were keen to give back. Jason is an Elvis singer and Lisa runs a cake business and has a background in sales and marketing. Last Halloween they raised £450 and £240 from a Christmas event for Meadow House Hospice.
It all started during lockdown, organising events outside to entertain their children at Halloween and Christmas. Then it progressed to doing the charity events. They didn’t just clap for the NHS, they raised much appreciated funds instead. They raised £1100 which is amazing given the conditions we were all under during the pandemic — so hats off to them! Last year they did an event for the coronation in May, but sadly in July Jason’s mum, Marilyn Cole, passed away after a 6 year battle with lymphoma, so they did the Halloween and Christmas events as fundraisers for Meadow House. Marilyn loved Halloween.
This awesome couple devote so much time to fundraising whilst having full time jobs and bringing up their 8 children still at home and who also get fully involved! They actually have 14 children between them plus the grandchildren to keep them busy!
This event is being held in the green space near their house and has been a success every time. The address is Kempton Ave, Northolt, UB5 4HF.
