Interview: Brian Rose chats to the cast of Snow White

This December, Harrow Arts Centre is hosting what promises to be its most spectacular pantomime yet: Snow White. Running from Saturday, December 9th to Thursday, December 28th, the production is brought to life by the award-nominated Immersion Theatre company.

The show features a vibrant cast, including Will as the “good dame” Holly Honeybomb, Julian as Prince Henry of Hatch End, and Olivia in the title role of Snow White. While the original fairy tale has dark roots, the cast emphasizes that this version is accessible for all ages, from toddlers to grandparents. The production maintains the spirit of the classic story while modernizing it for a 21st-century audience. Instead of the traditional seven dwarfs, the show features the “Magnificent Seven,” played by a talented local children’s ensemble from the Barefoot School of Dance.

The actors highlight the unique magic of pantomime, noting that the live audience interaction makes every performance different. They embrace the unpredictability of live theater, where “planned mishaps” and “scheduled chaos” are part of the fun.

Tickets are priced at £20, with concessions available for £17 and family group tickets for £68. Most days feature two performances at 12:30 PM and 4:30 PM, with additional morning shows on weekends. To book, contact the box office at 020 3773 7161 or visit harrowarts.com. Located on Uxbridge Road near Hatch End Station, the venue is ready to welcome the community for this festive highlight.
