The Rysep Society is preparing to transport audiences into a world of wonder with their upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast. This magical musical, based on the classic Disney fairy tale, is set to perform at the Winston Churchill Theatre in Ruislip from November 12 to 16, 2026.
Character and Cast Insights
The production features a dedicated cast, including Heather as the independent and book loving Belle. Callum 1 takes on the role of the Beast, portraying his journey from arrogance to love, while Callum 2 brings the charismatic Lumiere to life. Leon plays the town’s handsome yet arrogant villain, Gaston. The cast has invested significant effort into their roles, with Callum 1 practicing a beastly roar and perfecting a hunched, powerful movement. Callum 2 shared that his biggest challenge has been the physical toll of holding his arms in position for the iconic Be Our Guest number.
Production Magic
Director Tasha and her creative team have focused on bringing Disney magic to the stage through an elaborate set design and professional costumes. The production includes a mix of songs from the original animated film, the live action version, and pieces specifically written for the stage. Audiences can also look forward to hidden Disney Easter eggs tucked throughout the set.
Accessibility and Community
In a move toward inclusivity, the Thursday performance on November 13 will feature a British Sign Language interpreter. Families can also enjoy special meeting and greet sessions with the characters following the Saturday and Sunday afternoon matinee performances. Tickets are priced at 16 pounds for adults and 12 pounds for children under 12.
